Should/can sharp carapace projections be filed?

ohhhh... Elaphe spiloides(i refuse to change). They are found near where I live. I've found a few in Mississippi.

Good luck with those tortoises. They must be a challenge in the UK but you're ahead of the game considering they do well with a cool period.

I am keeping an eye on it. It does look worse than it is. The skin if flaking and the hole was pretty sealed when the hardened contents popped out. But you are correct, if anything changes I will not waste any time. Sorry, don't know that chap. Used to keep a nice pair of Grey rat snakes, hence spiloides, not a chelonian!
