Default Question for Peter re: Polytunnel

Hi Peter, just wondering how the work for the polytunnel is going? Does it look complicated to put up?
I'm thinking of one for the Leos and another for the Whitei, or a longer one to divide.

Its not actually arrived yet, should be sometime this week.

I have though, looked through the online instructions and it doesn't look bad, it suggests at least 2 people are required for construction. I will find the link to instructions for you.

At the moment I am clearing the area for it, 4 of my enclosures have to come out and be cleared before I can start and then when its done they will be rebuilt around it!

I'm not sure Laraine. I wouldn't want to pierce the polythene as it says this reduces its lifespan. I have purchased a model where the polythene isn't buried, so I will be able to create access tunnels without cutting the actual tunnel. Am I making sense?

hi Pete have you thought about mounting it on a small wall like i have for my greenhouses so you can have hatches and dividers to section them off.i have my shed mounted on a wooden frame because it is on a concrete area ,but the greenhouses are on the garden soil.

Terry, the foudation tubes have to be into the ground, so mounting on wood isn't an option

Laraine I went for the Thermal Anti-fog cover, mainly for retaining heat. I know it filters out almost all the useable UV, but I felt the heat was more important as they will get UV outside.
