I am much better thanks Jo, light still playing up, nothing new.
I contacted Underworld (with an email), they are people you send the warranty card to, and still waiting a response. Ade

It is unfortunate that this was my first lamp and have experienced problems, I have however recently purchased (as soon as I got back home to Ireland) another one for Mum and hers seems to be working fine, just my luck eh! Especially when I seen another lamp on here too, which i could have tried instead.
But yes Linda like you say will be interesting to see what Underworld say in response which so far is not forthcomming, so I will give them a few more days then i will contact again. the light went on and off 3 times during my dinner hour today, poor tortoises muct be wondering what the hell is going on with this damn sun, wish those dark clouds would stop blocking it! You have to have a laugh about it, lifes to short to worry about stupid faulty t-rex lights eh! Ade

I had a development today, had an email from Underworld, they want to have the lamp back for testing, so I have to pack it up and send it back to them.
So I will be without that stupid light for a while so it will be a case of going back to the uv tube and basking lamp for now. Ade

Well today I had a very promising conversation with someone from Underworld, he was very reassuring that this product is of extremely high quality, and generally they have very few problems with them.
He understands that mine is now in fact outside of the 6 month warranty but as I have had problems from the beginning and no joy with the internet company I got it off and have records of my complaints (emails sent out) then they are going to accept a copy of the correspondance as evidence that its not been right and will also test my bulb when they get it. So what I would say to anyone else who is experienceing problems on an ongoing basis, firstly report this to the company you purchased it from and if no satisfaction is reached, contact underworld as they are the sole distributers of this lamp in the UK. Hopefully this will now have a happy conclusion, I will let you know as soon as I know the outcome myself. Ade
