So relieved for you that your hatchling is safely out. When my only hatchling arrived, he had absorbed his yolk sac too and then gobbled up all the clover I offered him. He hasn't stopped eating since!

Always offer small amounts of food, as some still live off the absorbed egg sac, others eat small amounts straight away:0)

I used to use a plastic container lid as a water dish as the babies need to be able to get into it but not drown and a lid was about the only thing shallow enough.
