hatching problem
Hi all my tortoise has been trying to get out of his egg for 3 days now . Is there anyway i could help him get out or any advice

If it were me I would be tempted to break a little of the egg shell away, to see if their is an egg sac. You would have to be very careful though. As three days is a long time.

Hi i just broke a very small peice of egg off and he walked straight out of his egg .
There is no sac there at all just a very small slit in the underside of his shell which is 95% closed his shell is abit twisted. What do i do now give him a bath then back in incubator till he is straight or do i give him bath then in to viv |

A bath and into the viv is just fine They are a bit out of shape when they first come out of the egg but in a day or 2 they will look like regular tortoises.

if he doesn't have an egg sac to absorb then I'd say yes offer weeds/food but don't chop it up tiny as they are well able to tear at small plants etc from hatching, if its hungry it will eat if not don't worry it won't be long before it does. Drinking/bathing though is important as it might be thirsty.

Ok i have gave him a bath and put him in his viv with a shallow bowl of water and some weeds . I will bath him once a day is this enough or should i do it more
