Yes, Happy Mother's Day to all those in the UK. We have to wait until May to send a Mother's Day card to my mother-in-law in Canada.
Hope you all have a lovely day. I just had the best gift of all; my autistic son whispered 'Happy Mother's Day' in my ear. He doesn't like saying any kind of sentiment like Happy Birthday or Christmas, so this is the first time he's said it to me. Whispered or not, he still managed it, even though he felt awkward. That's me made up for the rest of the day.

Thanks Wendy. All the kids made a special effort with lovely cards and gifts too, but that meant more than anything.

Thanks Sandy. Sometimes he feels safer whispering something than saying it out loud, such as if he needs to apologise, but sentiments have always been a tough one for him. The simple things mean so much.

Well it was uneventful , I got one card thrust at me, and that was it ! But I'm not bothered, I've got two teenage boys, at least I got a card 😄

Well I'm sure if it wasn't for us men you women probably wouldn't get even a card . I dragged my two girls almost kicking and screaming around the shops on Saturday morning took them in a card shop and they wanted me to choose the card to which I politely said no then it was off to choose a suitable present for the oldest to get as youngest had a mothers day sale at school, so after standing in the middle of town for 10 minutes giving her some ideas I lost my temper and said we were going home grrr .
She spent the rest of the day in her room making something which to my surprise she pulled off a blinder and when she gave it to her mother on Sunday somehow worked.
So next year I am not going to get involved it's way to stressful for someone my age.

I make it easy for the hubby and kids by having a wish list on Amazon.

I was lucky to receive four cards this year - the one hubby bought for all the kids to sign, two handmade ones by the youngest two (my youngest son was very thoughtful and added a tort or two in amongst the images of minions and Oleg the meerkat!! ) and my eldest bought one himself and wrote some lovely words in it too!
I quite like having an older one at work who can think for himself. I wasn't expecting it either.
