Its not hard to keep tortoises alive, its not even hard to give them the chance to thrive. Weeds are everywhere. That field near your grandads garden will certainly have plenty of weeds.

yes but there is weeds growing through gaps in concrete and roadsides etc.
And if u cant get weeds then grow them,
I appreciate not knowing in advance about a torts proper diet but this is the lads third tort, by noew he should have a safe source of food

Yep i know that, but you dont know what his state is at home, so we dont really know what is happening...
and it may be hard for him to get that food.

I know he should have money saved up to get the things he needs, but he is only 14
how is he going to the money for it all?
your not supposed to work till your ages 16 really...

LOOK its only temparary.....so please stop it, look Zombie girl has a big point, what if the roads and slabs are weed pciked everyday, an what if you cant grow plants.

At the end of the day, the lad just got a new tort, maybe thats not a clever idea if u live in an area where weeds are rare

If the lad had had the tort for years and then just realised oh crap i need to feed it weeds then fair play but he has new a while and has just got a new tort

If you lived in the city then your granddad who is 1 minute away wouldnt have a huge garden with no fences that looks like a park would he? Im not trying to cause trouble.

Would you like me to post you some weed seed and a seed tray? That way you could plant some in your bedroom.
