Hi Pammy. Noticed your post about half way up about the problems you're having with your new Horsfields. You might be having a bit of a domination contest going on at the moment, one tort trying to assert itself. I've had this (with Hermans) and its settled down pretty quickly. From what I understand's Horsfield's can be rather more aggressive so keep an eye on it, if you see any physical signs of injury you may have to seperate them. Sure someone with Horsfields can fill you in a bit better than this

Hi Pammy,

I'm a fellow horsefield keeper too. I have found that Horsefields (males) can be quite agressive. My male does bite at mating time, the Female does get her own back with sneaky bites. I do seperate mine and reintroduce, jsut so they can have a rest and calm down. I'm always threatening thwm with the naughty corner.

Try to use lots of sight breaks, half pots, log rolls, caves are all really good. If they can get well away from one another these usually eases the problem

When my 2 (Hermanns( have had a go at each other I would seperate them in what I called the "sin bin". I got told off for that
