If it is 4 inches SCL, than like Ross said it's a female.

Default my horsefield tortoise.

hi taylor posted a pic of my horsefield tortoise and i needed to know the sex of it.well i would like to thank everyone who tried to help me.dan when she walks she does put its tail to one side.but other times when i pick her up she either has it straight or to one side. would you say its defantly a girl. thanks for everyones time karina.

hi everyone.thankyou for everyones help.dan would you say she defantly a girl.see im still not 100% sure coz sometimes she walks and her tail is to the side but sometimes when i pick her up her tail will be to the side or straight.see what it is im due to get another tortoise wednesday which is a boy.but i dont want them fighting thats why i need to know.thankyou everyone for your time and help. karina

All of my adult females usually walk with their tails to the side
