You're joking or trying to get a rise.

Any idea what kind of wet bread Lynne? French stick, Hovis, Warburtons, Sunblest, granary, white, wholemeal?

Perhaps we do overdo it by giving them weeds, pellets, UV lamps fridges etc

So looks as if it should have a article 10 then.
The owner has died and the daughter is selling it, it is over 40 years old and daughter says there isn't any paperwork for it. The family don't know much about the tortoise just that it has always been in the family.
Does that mean it can't be sold legally?

It can be sold but it's best to contact DEFRA about it and explain the situation. Alternatively they can gift it to you

Not sure at the moment, I've emailed the daughter for more pics of underside and size. Let you know when she gets back to me

Is this the same tortoise that the lady was trying to sell earlier this year?

Its the first time I've seen it.
Is there a story behind it then? xx

Its an attractive animal for sure, and one that has apparently made a sucessful adaptation to life in cooler climes. Some older tortoises are quite resistant to change Lynne.
