Default The Last Tortoise

I got this for Christmas and am reading it at the min. It's a good but depressing read; I'm hoping the last part of the book is slightly more optimistic. Anyone else read it?

Havent read that one Seashell but have read the "life & loves of lonesome George" & also "a sheltered life" think they are fairly similar. Very interesting but at the same time very sad what we humans do to animals

I think this book is well worth reading ... for everyone After reading it I felt Just Me and my Tortoise should encourage more children to get involved and interested in Chelonia ... as they are the future and will help in their survival. So we now have a children's club and will be running a photo competition for them in 2011.

I agree Wendy. That's a great idea having a children's club. You do a great job! Just wish I lived nearer you - would love to come to your meetings

Perhaps one day you might venture down for a weekend break, and you might get a group to travel together It is always great when we meet new Shelled Warriors at our meetings ... as long as everyone knows they are all very welcome Sorry you are so far away but if there is a good / cheap train to London a meeting is always possible
