Hi babies can go out just the same as adults & I would have said whith the current lovely weather weve been having he will be fine. A largish cage will be OK, with a sheltered area, so he can regulate his temperature (make sure you drill some holes in the base incase it rains, to prevent flooding).

I was once told that if its warm enough for us to be comfortable in a T shirt, its warm enough for torts to be outside.

Outside in summer would be ok at any age, as long as you don't lose him.

What is her weight and length?
We have 3 little Leos that are growing very slowly and others that are in a growth spurt and seem bigger each time we look at them.

You could try the indoor rabbit/guinea pig cages, we got a few from our local freecycle and have used them for tiny torts, they are deep enough to put a decent covering of soil substrate and have the cage top to protect them from predators, such as birds, cats and squirrels. A nice warm day, around 20c+ when you would be comfortable outside in a t-shirt, ake sure there is some shade for him to go into if he wants, a little bendy log roll would be good to hide under.

Hi Laura,

With the current weather I would urge you to take Ludo outside bless him.......not only will the fresh air do him good you could get him grazing early and that would be a real bonus
