A little advice, again :)
Well now that I have four large torts here I have realised it's lots more fun lol
the poos are massive I am wondering if any of you have any tips, the probe from the habisats that sit under the heat emitters are not getting sitting or the leads from the thermometers, so it's getting really difficult to get temps correct. When they move around everything is everywhere. any tips?

Get yourself a infrared thermometer
that's all I use hold the thermometer, point it to the area you want to read, press the button and a infrared beam will tell you the temp. It's quick and much more hygenic.

I think I know what you mean I have a yucca in my enclosure and have tacked the probe just off the ground so it doesn't get disturbed by the torts.

Hi Beverley Sorry I have no experience on the thermometer etc but just wanted to ask - does this mean you got the extra red/yellowfoots that were being kept poorly?

Yes but it wasn't a female yellowfoot it turned out to be a male and female redfoot. It really made no difference to me I just wanted them out of there. Will post pics soon when they settle. They are big !! And in good condition shell wise really lovely tortoises

Mine are clipped to the sides and base of the enclsosure, then when adding the substrate keep the end in the position you want it and leave a bit poking out, if that makes sense!
