I'm curious if any of the members have used an online dating service such as Match.com or Zoosk and are willing to discuss it?

It was some time ago, but I did use them. Five girlfriends and I were turned away from a nightclub for 'wearing too many clothes - it's Barbie night tonight..'. My friend said "Do you know how much my jacket cost!" security said, "don't care love, you're not coming in". We discussed it over several bottles of sparkly. At 40, we were all single, well-paid, decent women living in London. So we decided to be more Scientific about the whole getting a partner thing. In a club: 500 people, 50% male, 50% remaining married or with partner, 15% of remaining not interested in women, 25% remaining not bright enough (sorry, but true), 20% of those dubious manners, political views, bad eating habits (sorry again, but quite important) 20% of remaining earn less than a quarter of our salary, about 44 guys left. Of those, how many would we each be suited to etc.
So we all joined two online dating agencies. We helped each other with our profiles, to make sure the things which were actually very important in life, were mentioned, for example; manners, honesty, doing the right thing, keeping your word, etc. On my profile I specifically put that I want interested in getting married, and wanted to meet someone who felt equally at home eating at Burger King or in a Michelin starred restaurant. 3 years later I got married to one of my online dates - and he won't eat in Burger King. Lots of funny stories though about people I met from the dating sites, especially the bloke whose photo wasn't his - I could write a book - I met some very interesting people.
