Not worth getting intouch with London Zoo for torotises. Tortoisefriends did a visit to LZ and
found they have only a couple of speices and mix them.

well we,ll wait and see what they have to say but if anyone else has any suggestions in our area ? personally I just want to meet some of the members and I wouldn,t mind seeing the new gorilla island so I,d be quite happy with the zoo as at least its animal related and easy to get to.I,ve had some nice days out there in the past although not for a few years and I wasn,t into tortoises then but still thought it a nice place to spend a day.

i agree with max, even if they are not so hot on tortoises just getting together would be great all the same. i know colchester zoo has quite a few tortoises but is a bit harder to get to unless you are driving. LZ might be a good place to go because even members who dont live right on top of it can still get there relativly easily
