I'll join, I need some motivation! I want to lose at least 35 pounds(around 3 stone). I plan on eating better and going to the gym whenever I can. I really need to get it off this time, I'm going on a trip this summer and I would like to enjoy it without feeling self conscious for once!

I am sure you will succeed Ade, just go walking with that big camera around your neck and the weight will drop off
I really need to lose more weight as well around a stone and a half. I need some motivation as well

I am following a team of people on tv losing weight over the next 8 weeks which includes specific exercises www.rte.ie/ot , walking every morning for an hour, and reduced food intake.

I am also tracking my weight, food and activity online with www.weigh2live.eu

Hopefully I will be able to keep up the new regime.

Linda, I am sorry to hear about your shoulder.....My little one is feeling much better, but it is awful. You dont realise how hard it is with only one arm available to do all your usual every day things.

As for diets....I'm definitly up for starting one good luck to each and all

I to am a diabetic but type 2 not one, I also have a wii and do enjoy using it but it getting the motivation to set it all up, get all hot and bothered then having to have a second shower. I know its laziness. I actually like Apple Cider Vinegar as my cold drink, I only have a couple of cups of tea a day as I prefer cold ones and also like Honeygar which is ACV with honey already added, its quite costly but a bottle lasts me ages and its only me that likes it. I don't know whether it is the drink but I had the lowest blood pressure reading ever after having been taking it for a while and the old joints don't give me so much jip anymore. I can do without cakes etc but as with others its the size of my portions which are the downfall, I've been fat for so many years now I doubt it would ever really go but not to huff and puff so much would be nice and not to be used as ballast on the sailing dingy would be even better.
