I wasn't much of a fan of his music but you can't deny his incredible talent and charisma.

Unfortunately you also can't deny that he was a deeply troubled and unhappy man.

Very sad and also sad that the jokes have already started. Somebody has died and children have lost their father. Love him or hate him, people should have some respect.

I grew up listening to his music and years ago won tickets to see him perform in Dublin. Never have been to a concert as good since.
He was a brilliant entertainer, if you forget the weirdness, he was gifted.
I loved him in the eighties, when I think he was at his best.
RIP Michael and thanks for the wonderful music you have left behind

No one will ever replace him...he was pure GENIUS .....What will the tabloids do now???
At least now no more leaches will be able to try and bleed him dry with their false allegations.
Rest in Peace Michael, you will be missed by Millions around the world.

Very sad news

Either you hate him or love him

Its was never proved that he did those things with the children

He was in the public eye since he was tiny, now we all know what it did to Britney spears shaven head etc not excusing what he did or did not do

But no one can argue what wonderful music he made

Most of the artists out there now, that we all love, were inspired to go into music because of Michael

May he rest in piece now because he didn't have much piece when he was alive

My thoughts are with his friends, family and children

I must admit I do feel quite sad - his music touched so many people - I saw him live in Milton Keynes many years ago and what a show.

It is a shame his last years were filled with so much sadness for him - he lived in a world of make believe - I agree with Sarah - it was never proven and the children who made those claims were definately in it for financial reasons with their parents so firmly behind it.

He is at peace now - his music will live on.

I never believed them either. What DECENT parent would accept money over justice for their child?
