It's not a very good photo - the truth is, I'm shaking so much I can't keep the camera still

how exciting, will you be keeping the babies for yourself, or are you considering selling them?

I've just had another look and the hole has got a bit bigger and it is a 'proper' hole now and not just small cracks on the outside but it's still too small to be able to see baby. Does it always take this long? This is as bad as giving birth!

I think you're right Helen, I am going to be up all night and possibly tomorrow night too at this rate......

Nathan: I do want to keep them all but I suppose it really depends on how many hatch and what sex they turn out to be. If they all hatch and all turn out to be boys, I don't think I will have room to house them all seperately and give them adequate space. But that decision is a long way off yet

She's nearly out!
(We are hoping for a little girl)

She has turned around in the eggshell and her head is inside now

Do I wait for her to get out of the eggshell herself or do I take her out now?

Do I give her a bath straight away or do I leave her over night of something? How long do I bathe her for?

Panicking a bit now......

Mandy

Edit: Thanks for all the good wishes x

Hi,

I saw a video of a tortoise hatching on youtube the user has 3 video's and i think all 3 had turned round with their butts facing out so i'm guessing it's normal....They also timelapsed(SP?) the video's and by the looks of it it took hours
