I always pour their outside bath water onto the plants each evening when I bring them in, which seems to help. The hebes, lavender, rosemary and carex are doing well except for the carex in the new female enclosure. The ladies decided to eat it!!!
So I shall plant new ones early this autumn or in the spring to let them establish a bit before the girls get out there.
Also each night when I go out to shut the hens in I pour the water from their 'glug' water container over the plants in the tort enclosures.

Yesterday I had the central heating on. Not for tortoises but for me.
That's not good. I feel the cold dreadfully and my family always laugh at me as even on days at the beach I will take a fleece just in case it goes cloudy. I have been known to be wrapped up in a blanket on the beach before whilst they're running around in trunks and cossies.
I hope you get some summer soon.

Thank you and let's hope the summer stays about for a while. The forecast isn't quite so bright for the next few days but as long as it's dry and warm for the torts, I'm happy.
