Stubborn tort :)
Just finished a new area in the garden for my tort to stay out 24/7.
Up til now she has had a small wooden box that she would shelter in during the day in the warmer months only. No heat in it either. I buy a load of stuff, make a bigger house, insulated and tubular heater, cold frame attached, all mod cons and I guess she is not impressed lol. I put her in, 10 mins later she is out and digging in under a bush lol. |

I completely agree with Lynn. Torts don't like new things, they can be very set in their ways. Give her time and she will discover it by herself and probably love it.

I had the same experience. I gave my 2 a garden the size that people in the centre of London would appreciate. It took a few weeks for them to get into a routine. They now have their favourite spots. They went from being slow to leave their indoor pen to moving outside and now they are up and off first thing. The change is fantastic, but took time.
