The time to worry is if he is gulping with his mouth open, as this could be a sign of rns.
Bathing is very important, as dehydration is one of the biggest killers of young torts. So bathing
at least once a day for a week or two is needed. If he passes white stuff (completely normal)
the white stuff should be the consistancy of cream, not thick and gritty. You have found a great
site with lots of friendly folk, all willing to help.
No question is too silly to ask, the only silly one is the one not asked<g>. So feel free to ask.

We've just got back from the vets and Victor is okay!

It looks like he's not had the best start in life, his shell is a little on the soft side and he's apparently been growing too fast, but the Vet said with the right husbandry from now on he should recover nicely

He's currently back in his house chomping on a dandelion leaf!

Well he's seems fine after his trip to the vet and has just enjoyed a bath in the sun.

I'll have to charge the camera up today and take some photos for the photo section of the site.

THanks agian for all your advice and support.

Nick and Lizzie.

Well done both of you.... he looks like he is nice and relaxed in his bath.... its lovely isnt it when the sun is out shining on them.

The sun was shining right on my Herman's table this morning - he was lapping it up.

Thanks

I've already got him a cuttlefish which he loves, and I've ordered some limestone flower which should hopefully arrive on Monday, so fingers crossed he will be better in no time

There's so much to learn, but I'm loving it!

I grow my own veg our back garden, but I'm setting up a special plot for Victor's food; it's going to be strange encouraging weeds to grow after spending so much time trying to eradicate them!
