PLEASE Contact the RSPCA without delay.

If you are worried about your safety, tell them so, nd they will preotect your identity.

This is the very scum that we so desperately need to irradicate.

i have contacted andy highfield at the tortoise trust and he advised to contact the council and the rspca, which i have done. the rspca said they will send someone round but it doesnt look good as they said if they have food and water they will be ok. no tortoises were bought from this address. i picked up as many as i could to check for rns, the weight, and their shells. some sounded as though they had respiratory problems.

were any of them torts that needed certificates/restricted, if so DEFRA may investigate where they came from
