Weather station time
I know some of you have weather stations and I got one a few weeks ago. It has a function for the DCF time whereby it picks up a signal from Frankfurt and sets itself to the correct time. It was going fine since I got it but last night it has somehow managed to lose exactly 4 hours and I was wondering if anyone else has had that happen or if my device is a maybe duffer. It was only £22 or something.

Alan , can you share what type you have? and your views.
I'm hoping santa may be kind to me this year as I am a bit humidity, weather obsessed, but he may just bring me a singing penguin again who knows nothing about weather apart from snow being a penguin but can sing ...Well the weather outside is frightful........CB

CB it was this one from Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...ilpage_o08_s00
It's working okay just that some nights depending on the weather it wasn't picking up the signal from Germany. It makes 4 attempts in all during the night over a 4 hour period. That is the signal used by radio stations etc so they are all getting the exact time. I only really got it to let me know what the temperature was in the torts' outdoor enclosure without having to go out and check. The sensor is out there and the display is in the house. |

Vikki - we should have a competition - you wet a figure and stick it in the air ! it never fails, but bet you cant guess the humidity and temp ! ha - well clearly I don't drop the right hints as I got a colour coordinated oil filter one year! The stapler may have topped that! I need to work on my tactics somewhat I agree.

yah ! I got a weather station for Christmas !! If you can help ALan as im clearly useless....it has 3 channels ...does that mean I can register three different weather areas but it only has one sensor so I don't get it? or it records them? or are the 3 channels for when the weather is bad and it can't pick up one of the channels? Which I see the irony!!
Like you I only got it so I can view the climate in the shed at the bottom of the garden !! ha, its quite sad really, but I liken it to Skype for tortoises !!? CB
