Our meeting in Sutton Benger Village Hall on Sunday the 22nd of April was an overwhelming success. It was great to see such a huge amount of tortoise enthusiasts turning up for help and advice. We had a fantastic afternoon with an interesting talk by Ms Rachel Mowbray on the subject of "Post Hibernation Health" followed by lots of questions. Emma and her family were also kept very busy on the sales table. Everyone seemed to enjoy the tea and cakes and the opportunity to meet up and "talk tortoise" and the younger members went home with a new species of tortoise a balloon Indian Star.
Details of our next meeting will follow in due course. Thank you to everyone for coming and supporting the Wiltshire Tortoise Group. Mary |

Pleased to hear that it went so well!
As it seems, that your home has become the new registered address for The British Chelonia Group, I suppose that Diana has severed yet further links with her former Twenty + year tenure as Secretary to the Group? Very strange, that to date there has been no formal announcements about this nor indeed a record of thanks for all her work in the past. Mary, this is a very strange state of affairs. can you shed light on the situation? |

Maybe, the PRO of the group should be given lessons in the use of Photoshop? http://www.bristolzoo.org.uk/about/n...T3oJ-6Q.mailto Diana Scott, served the group for more than twenty years in the role of secretary. Yet, it seems to date that the directors seek once again to apply the habits of a mushroom farmer to their membership?:whistling2: |
