Default Plants/shrubs for outside enclosure any ideas?

Hi

My hubby Steve has worked really hard this afternoon, on the tort enclosure, we have put a bit of plantain in a rose bush and a lavender bush but it still looks bare any ideas greatfully received.

You could add hebe, mallow, hibiscus, buddlia (butterfly bush), mixed sedums including ice
plants, campanula, nasturshum, pansies, mixed weeds seeds, hostas, convulvulous, ornamental
grasses, think thats enough to be going on with!!

Hi...

A cheaper way of doing it is when you are next out weedpicking try to take some including the roots...

At this time of year I am finding the following readily available that have good solid roots:

Sow Thistle

Dead Nettle

Garlic Mustard

Yarrow

White nettle

Ribwort

From the garden centre:
Hosta

Lavender

Hebe

Buddlia

Hope this helps.

I have two types of buddlia growing wild in my back garden (white and purple) are both types ok to feed torts and can you feed both flowers and leaves. They are beautiful in the summer when in flower, and we get so many butterflies and moths (hence butterfly bush). Really is a lovely sight
