Poor puddle I hope he is soon ok again, I think you are doing the very best you can for him and hopefulley he has not been too traumatised by his experience

If you have a syringe with no needle then use this to squirt the diluted betadine at any puncture wounds. Puncture wouonds from dogs teeth can cause abcesses, so even if she seems OK, still take her to the vets.

Puddle has had heat all night and Her lamp this morning, she's not as lively this morning but she is a lazy missus on a morning anyway. I'm just changing all her sterile paper over and going to bath her wounds again. I'll be seeing Stuart tomorrow, hopefully get her Xrayed and see if there is any internal damage, hopefully its just shell and tissue and she will heal.

I just hope she will be ok until then

Its lovely and sunny here, If puddle stays in her hospital box, can she go outside? Or is that a dumb question?

I would put her outside in her box, yes. Just make sure she has some shade.

Sorry Pete Kayleigh no outside for Puddle. You want her to be as quiet as possible. That and you would have to worry about flys getting to the wounds. The best thing is to leave her inside.

Ok Dan, thanks though Pete, I can see why we both thought that it would be healthier for her, what with the lovely sun 'an all

I would keep her locked away in case of fly strike - it can happen in minutes
