I have been massaging petroleum jelly on Roxys shell inbetween the scutes twice a week (after bath times) to help to grow more evenly (as per Dans advice) how often should I be doing it and for how long.......Dan? X

Is twice a week enough or should I be doing it everyday? X

Do yo massage it in and then wipe it off as much as possible or leave it a little shiny? This is something I would like to try with a few stuck scutes.

Depends on how dry it is. If it looks like it needs it, I'd do it. Every other day though is probably good for a start and adjust it from there.

You don't need a ton, but need to leave what you put on there.

Hi Dan, couple of questions; would the petroleum jelly not burn under a basking lamp? Can you explain what stuck scutes are? Lastly Dan, I'll be posting a few photos of a tort later, and would appreciate an ID.
Thanks as always Karen
