I did take a poo and puke sample!
The first thing he did was check the poo and he said straight away that it was worms.. which in a way was a relief because now i know what it is and that it is treatable. He gave him an injection and put a tube down his throat for the medicine.. unfortunately he was sick again whilst he was doing this and although the vet thinks he kept some of the medicine inside him, I am going back again tonight to give him some more..
He said I had a choice of giving him over a period of three days a lower dosage of medicine or two lots of higher dosage, which is what he recommended..
He hasnt been sick again, only when he was at the vet, he was fine in the evening when i brought him home.. he just looked fed up!
I gave him a bath after i had my dinner and he took one little gulp of water.. I tried him with a dandelion leaf but he still isn't interested.. the last time he ate was monday mid-day, but my mind is at rest now because i know what is wrong with him and he is being treated..

George might go off his food a bit whilst having the worming treatment Lyndsey. I wouldn't worry if he doesn't eat much, just keep his baths up.

Only just seen this thread. So glad your tort is on the mend, and you know what is wrong. It is really scary when you don't know whats the matter with them.
Thinking of you xx

Thanks..
I took him for his second appointment today and he had the second dosage of his medicine.. This time he managed to keep it down.. He looks sluggish and hasnt eaten or drank yet when i bathed him this evening, but the vet did give him liquids today to keep him hydrated..
