I'm so sorry to hear you're not well. It sounds like you've got a really positive attitude, and I'm sure that it - and the support of your family and friends - and all of us on SW - will see you through this. Remember that there are some lovely tortoises waiting for you to recover so that they can come and live with you. And do keep posting on here and let us know of your progress. Lots of positive thoughts coming your way.

Hey, we are all entitled to have a rant! Smashing plates is also good, not good for the pocket, and you do have to clean up afterwards, but when you do it......you can imagine you are smashing the thing that gets you feeling that way! I always make sure I have some old plates or mugs around.
Take care Laraine

Thank you everyone for your lovely encouraging words.
Jackjordandylan, i would love the torts now but as they are my first reptiles i don't want to pass responsibility to OH or other family members as i am quite obsessive and having no previous experience i would hate to do something wrong. Its quite sad as i've just dismantled tort table and boxed all equipment away. But, i know i must get better first then i will be on top form to became a brilliant tort owner like everyone on here. I don't mean to moan as i know how lucky i was to be seen and diagnosed in one day and operated on 4 days later when so many other people have to wait months but i', blaming the steroids at the moment which they have put me on for the significant swelling still in my brain. They make me hot, hungry and a complete insomniac! |

At least when you get your insomnia you can come onto shelled warriors and have a browse - regardless of the hour!
