Default practical Reptile Keeping Magazine

Good to see an interesting article in the latest edition of PRK written by Arcadiajohn I believe!
It seems, that this highly respected manufacturer are delivering some good quality advice, along with interesting products for the "Wet tortoise" brigade.
I am personally, very pleased to see the promotion of the Musk and Mud turtles as suitable home aquarium species.
well done to Arcadia.

I've been thinking of subscribing to this mag. Sounds as if it's worth doing.

For some reason they issue the new month's one about 5 - 6 weeks or so before the 1st of that month, ie on 26th November we received the issue due out from 1st January?

It was going something I was going to ask when David Alderton spoke at our local group meeting, which has had to be cancelled, as I wondered why as it often makes articles irrelevant. I know you could argue that a hibenation article is useful in late summer so you can plan ahead, but.....

We have had a subscription since the magazine started but are not bothering to renew it when it expires in January.

Oh thats a shame.

I thinks its got better with time, I value it for the adverts as much as for the editorial content.

I get a photography magazine and they are the same, I got the December one in October and I got the January one on 26th November. It's because they can sell a lot more by duping people into thinking they are getting the current issue, they have a whole two months ahead where the magazine appears to be still current.

I got the first half dozen or so PRK mags but found that there was too much in it that wasn't really of interest to me like spiders and snakes, if it had been a tortoise mag or even tortoise and turtle then I would have kept buying it probably. Couldn't see how spiders are in a reptile mag at all
