I knew it would be today.

Digging last night

Same spot this morning

Thats the extent of the nest, a major excavation

Not two, but four!

The two on the right look pretty old too me, much like the ones laid by my other female soon after I got her last year. Still we'll give them all a chance.

Pru looking quite pleased with herself. She seems fine, had a bath, a long drink and a bowl of mealworms.

Rachael, she doesn't normally look like that, she doesnt usually shine. I think its the first time I've photographed her clean.

A word of advice. Do not use a laser pointer type thermometer in a hovabator. Very accurate but it will drive you mad trying to get a stable temperature throughout. Four AM I got to bed...

Hello Alex,

Like everything else to do with Ornates, opinions seem to differ. I'm sticking with C. Kenneth Dodd's book ( not THE Ken Dodd by the way

) who suggests 73-76 days at 25c, 50-52 days at 30c.*

So I've gone with 27C so maybe 62-63 days?

25-6C will produce mostly males, 29C and above, females. 27C could produce either.

Theres a lot of variation on these numbers in books and on websites, I'll just be happy if one hatches.
