Default Malayan Box Turtles

Having spent a few weeks acclimatising in a quarantine set up, my Malayan Box Turtles from Kadoorie in Hong Kong seem to have settled in well. The initial shell lesions, caused during their poor handling in China are clearing up and they are feeding well and responding to a bit of TLC:

Boxgirl,
Now that you have kindly taken the group of C amboinensis that Bristol Zoo was struggling with from this same shipment from Kadoorie. How are they settling in with you. From what I understood, you inherited quite a significant veterinary requirement for them

Yes they all had to be registered with the vet and needed a month of Baytril injections. Thankfully I have a vet who only charges for the cost of the drugs. They are all doing very well and incredibly friendly despite the traumatic experiences. Bristol Zoo did a good job! We hope to put the males to the females in the spring.

Really good to hear, the fact you and Paul, are working so well with Bristol is a real testament to the co-operation pioneered between private keepers and Zoos over in Germany.
