Hi Lisa
I live about 10 miles from Chippenham. It depends what you enjoy doing, there are loads of good country pubs nearby, good parks, nice walks near the canal, Bath is nice to visit for shopping and the tourist stuff, Lacock is a Natural Trust village about 4 miles from Chippenham where they film loads of period dramas and some of Harry Potter, its nice to visit but will be full of American tourists. Those are a few ideas, if you would like any more details just let me know. Sophie |

I believe when my daughter went to longleat the ticket she brought enabled them to back in the following day and she said there was to much to see and do in a single day so if your ticket is the same you might have two days there I don't know if they have to be consequtive

From what I can remember from last year, your ticket can be re used on any day for the season, but you can only go into attractions that you havent previously.
ie, your ticket gets clipped when you go into the maze and you cant use the same ticket to go in a second time.

I forgot to mention that very near Chippenham is Bowood, which is a house and garden with a huge adventure playground for children. Its a nice place to take a picnic on a good day. Their website is bowood.org.

Hi
Thanks for all the suggestions Longleat is about 25 miles from where we are staying so don't think we can get there twice, shame as I love it but hubby isn't so keen Sophie - I looked at Bowood website, that looks really good think we'll go there a the day too. Thanks everyone, fingers crossed for some nice weather end August Lisa |

Hi
We have hired a cottage for the middle of Aug around Wiltshire way, and will be visiting Longleat if you order your tickets online I believe that you save 5% of the price. Every penny counts |

I've was told you can get tickets with Tesco clubcard deals and the Tesco voucher are worth 4 times as much as spending in the shop so works out 1/4 price to get in. I've ordered mine, can't wait to go.
If you go on Tesco website and look for clubcard deals think thats where I found it. Lisa |
