Ooh actually, one thing I was wondering...

They're siblings from the same clutch and I've often thought about the wildly differing carapace patterning. Same mum, different dads perhaps?
I've read of such things with DNA testing of turtle clutches. Or do they just come out like that? My hatchlings all look very similar at the moment but these two were very different even at 8 months.

Turtle one has a fused first and second pleural scute on the right hand side (giving her only 3 scutes on that side, 4 on the left) hence the apparent 14 radial markings. Not a Luteola.
