Looks like I was talking out of my a--- (again!) tortoise table doesnt say dont let them eat white ones - which im sure it would if there were a problem:

Nice shrub to grow and flower's are a fav, protect some from hard frost, as i lost one Hibiscus to a winter.

I brought several mallows, lavateria. £1.79 from home bargains, aldi etc I also brought a beautiful lilac one from a garden centre £12.00. All the cheap ones are doing well but the expensive one died during winter - think that one was more exposed as was in middle of area, rest were against fences, so perhaps this protected them a bit.

I will be getting a couple if they still have them , I have to keep raiding my mum and dads garden for weeds but at least they live very near .
