Let me introduce myself...
It would seem that finding a nice UK connection is pretty tough. I do hope this is the place for me because I really do like the Brittish people and I have it on good authority that this is truly a friendly list which it does seem to be.
The Atlanta, Georgia area of the US is where I currently live. This is the southern US but it still does get cold here. I maintain a decent collection of amphibians and reptiles most of which are chelonians. I currently have about 10 species of chelonians. I've been keeping chelonians for well over 35 years and they are an intregal part of my life. They are more of an obcession than a pet or a hobby. My tortoises, research and networking have led to the production of several articles in a US magazine called Reptiles magazine. I also had a little pet book publilshed on Russian tortoises. Networking with fellow herpers and tortoise keepers is another vice of mine so I do hope this board does turn out to be a good fix. Needless to say... 'ello (actually... from Derby at the moment)

Hi Edd
Glad you joined up ,was great to see and chat to you the other day. Edd we are as I said a friendly bunch (well most anyway ) we are open to debates and advice from all are US members but Edd remember we do have different husbandry techniques here in the UK compared to the US so be prepared for disagreement on some subjects , but all opinions greatly received in a friendly manner Darren
