Default Worms

Hello,
One of my tortoises has just passed a massive worm in the bath! She's been quite active and eating well so I hadn't checked her for worms. Can anyone recommend a good worming product or ought I to just take her to the vet? Do you know how you work out the dose? Should I be worried about her?
Thanks for your help,
Gemma

I have never seen any worms or treated my two.

Just wondering, now they live outside should I treat them on a regular basis, or just observe.

Jan, I send a poo sample(Jerry's ) to Wormcount every summer just for peace of mind.
I buy the 'Worm Egg Count' kit here..https://wormcount.com/order-now/
They send everything you need to send the sample, then send you the results by email.

Thanks Keith that is really helpful.

As they are eating so much at the moment it will be very easy to collect a specimen!

I will give it a go.

It will be reassuring as wind down isn't too many weeks away really. Sorry to mention this, but I can remember the change starting last September.

(Cant believe I have just put the web site on 'my favourites')

The worming medicine has just arrived, it says on the pack to give it for three days in a row and then stop. I've read through quite a few threads on the forum that suggest treating for longer for tortoises. Would you recommend repeating the treatment again after two weeks for all tortoises or just to follow the pack?
Thanks again for all your help!!

Sorry, I've just realised I was being stupid, it's three times but 10 days between each dose for tortoises!

That’s it, Gemma. 10 days between.
