Well I bought new batteries for the bright white torch to look at the 2 eggs in the incubator, now I'm thinking I should have washed them, because it will be difficult to see if the eggs are chalked over and I don't know if there will be a difference to when I put them in!
Will I still be able to see the veins in the egg with dirt all over them lol? And when is the best time to candle them, they have only been in the incubator for a week, will they have started developing already? X

You should be able too see in them still a bit early but you might see the ring of life starting.
I always candle mine at night when it is dark. |

I think it's different for different species, but it's about 10-14 days when you see the ring of life and a tiny pink jelly bean. So it could be a few more days. I always wipe the eggs clean with a damp cloth, so it's easier to see what's going on.

Do these eggs look fertile I wished I would have cleaned the dirt off now but I think there is an orangey darker bit at the bottom of one of the eggs but I'm not sure.....I think my torch is too bright and too big!
