Just to say I saw a huge storage container in wilkinsons the other day for £7.99 & thought what a brilliant cheap table it would make - if your tort isnt too big? & an ordinary light bulb/ spot lamp would suffice for a few days, you could swop the UV one round, so they both shared it. Hope he will be OK.

This is going to sound realy anal! but I have a spreadsheet on my laptop for each one of my torts (3).
Every Friday morning I weigh them and give them a quick check over. I louge thier general health & weight also how they are eating, the weather for the week & how it may have affected thier behavoir. Then if my torts are poorly I can print a copy to take to the vets for scrutiny. Well I did warn you it was anal !!. Just a thought for next time you think your torts poorly you can use it as a reference point to check behavoir against enviroment temps ect. suggested by me sad ikkle Sue!! lol |

From your description it sounds like he could have eaten something toxic. At this time of year lots of daffodils are out and these are highly toxic to torts.
Bath him loads to try and flush out toxins and get a vet as soon as you can. I hope he improves soon.

Really Sorry about the slow update guys! Had a hard time at work this week having to fire someone....
Anyway.. Bilbo is no better. He hasnt pooed or had a wee for 4 days now. He is getting bathed twice a day and still not pooing. He is eatting normal though but not really getting up and about so im having to get him up and going. My other Torty George is fine BTW. Bilbo now has a running nose and is sneezing. He is seeing the vet at 11am Sunday 17th (tomorrow) She thinks she will be keeping him in I will let you know what is wrong as soon as i get home! Thankyou for all your help i just hope he is going to be ok x |
