Awww Karen, don't worry.
I don't know anything about eggs but I am sure someone will advise shortly. I think it is too late to worry now, lets just see what the others say xxx |

I wouldn't use anything. Bene's breeder did this and it is starting to slowly come off now after a hot bath. Hopefully it'll be gone soon.

had a look on the web, couldnt find anything about nail varnish on tort eggs but did see a few things about it being used when a chicken egg gets a little damaged. not sure if this helps but i think nail varnish is ok for going on the shell of the tort and at the most it would only stop the shell being able to get oxygen in a very small part of the egg shell.
but then as i said im new to this so this is only my opinion, hope it all works out ok Last edited by paulus; 09-08-2011 at 01:04 PM. |

It shouldn't be a problem, just wouldn't do it next time

I think I'd be more worried about the "hot" bath. They should be luke warm.

Thank you, everybody for your advice, i will just keep my finger's crossed, that i haven't caused any damage, I definately won't do it next time. It's the same as everything though, you live and learn, and unfortunately, i may learn the hard way this time.
