bitten!
After giving our Horsfields a soak, i let them roam arond the consevatory to dry off befor they go back in their enclosure. Anyway whilst talking to my partner i started hand feeding them. The next thing i know i have a 8 year old female horsfield clamped down on the end of my finger. My fault not paying attention but to say it hurt is a understatment. Those beaks are sharp! Wont make that mistake again! lol

Bene tries it but he's only little so his 'bites' have a lot less impact and don't hurt (yet).

Have had a few bites myself, most recently to the toes while I was standing inside the outdoor enclosure wearing flip-flops

hubby has been bitten several times by Sid my adult Ibera, he usually breaks the skin and makes the finger bleed, once he clamped down on the offending digit when hubby had his hand in Sids house, Kevin had to drag Sid out on the finger before he could prise his mouth open.

I find most of my torts are very interested in my fingers, even if you are holding a weed they ignore it and go for my fingers! Ann, I think you should rename your male Sid Viscious

Mine always look interested in my fingers but I assumed it was the nail polish that caught their eye. No bites yet......
