Default Pre alpine testudo

My parents brought over some pre alpin testudo for me from Germany and I was wondering how many times a week you feed it and how many cobs to give to a 2 year old hermanns, I gave him one cob today to see what he thought and he absolutely loves the stuff!

I tend to only give this once or twice a week mixed in with weeds/flowers. I mix half a cob with water and sprinkle/mix it into Benedict's weeds. My tortoise is younger at 1yr old.

I use the baby mix pre alpin and feed a couple of times a week atm because there is plenty of other foods around. Through the winter though I'm thinking of using it every day mixed in with whatever fresh stuff I can get.
I don't think you can overdo this stuff at all, here's a recent link from the TT. Just remember (if you are not already) to add your Nutrobal.

I would say you can over feed any food's especially in table's, if you can stick with a feeding regime and monitor this, with weight's and measures.

I have found with the Pre Alpin sticking it to weed's fed outside, not all is eaten. As a revisit of the fed plant's the stuff has dried and fell off in a pile on the feeding slate's. So back to the initial adding to the pellet feed about 50/50 twice a week all get's eaten eventually during the day.

At the moment I would offer twice a week so that they get used to eating it. Then it will need to be increases to every other day when the weeds etc start to get less. I am also freezing hibiscus, mallow, nasturtium, rose etc ready to use in the winter for the tropicals. I also have plenty of opuntia that I mix with the pre alpin for the winter.

How well do the flowers freeze Linda?

I've dried lots of flowers this summer. I thought one day I would use my mix pre alpin baby and weeds and the next day I could use the dried flowers and weeds.
Last year fresh foods were scarce with the bad weather and I couldn't provide that much variety for a while, I'm not getting caught out again.

I found that the leaves freeze better and I just put them in their areas frozen and they eat them as they thaw. We need plenty of sun to dry flowers don't we I am going to freeze some and also have a go at drying them. Will let you know how I get on.
Thanks
