See if there are any broken bits in your local B&Q/Homebase, I got a lovely piece of slate for my enclosure from Homebase, it was broke, but the lady at the till said I could have it I was well chuffed!

Go outside to the back of there gardeny thing and have like a roccks section. In that you can find some small slate slabs!

Nooddle advised a website for a free sample. I ordered it on Wednesday night and it came today. Straight forward and no hassle.

I ordered 2 lots of samples, and got the im gonna try for a 3rd.. how greedy of me :P .. you can ordered upto 4 samples but sometimes its double sides so u only get 2. however does it really matter if they keep sending you em..? :P

You can just buy one tile out of a pack in B&Q or Wickes, costs about £2.00. They will let you open the pack and buy just one. xx

If you can, around in your area, find a nice flat rock and bury it down in the home a bit to just leave the top of it to be ate off of....just an idea. Nice natural way of keeping claws trimmed and beak trimmed....
