Its a good job Emma doesnt scare easily<g>.
It was great meeting Darren, and all the other new keepers we met up with, including Nina.

It was a brilliant day, wasn't it? And it's always interesting to meet people you've been corresponding with (you get an image and it's always different in person). In this case there were no disappointments - just lots of great new friends. (Except you are much more shy than I expected you to be, Sandy <vbg> <vbg> vbg>)

Thought you might like a look at the pigeon that was in the box i picked up from Bristol ,white naped pheasant pigeon (otidiphaps nobilis) one of the rarest pigeons in the world .

very much so these birds are classed as endangered and are part of an international breeding programme.
The bird in the picture is the hen she is sitting now on an infertile egg the male is in quarantine and will remain there for 30days after which he will be introduced to the female and with a lot of luck and good husbandry little pheasant pigeons will appear within the next few months
