I recently bought my hubby a Falconry half day he loved it and got to fly 3 birds but I wasn't even allowed to go and watch unless I wished to pay £15 so I didn't even get any photos.

My son had a falconry experience when he was 12 and we all went, with camcorder, camera, etc. He nows volunteers at the centre and has become quite the falconer after three years. I don't understand what reason they could possibly give for not allowing at least one person to accompany the person having the half day.

maybe your boy was classed as a child who couldn't go on his own? hubby's treat was through the groupon vouchers so was a lot less than the full price but on the site leaflet it said one person could come and watch but at the cost of £15. Hubby's voucher was only £19 so I might just as well have paid to take part myself, as much as I like birds he's the one who really wanted to go,he didn't know I'd brought the treat so it was a lovely surprise, he had a really good time.

I've seen the Groupon ones and I think they're often at bird of prey centres which aren't gnerally open to the public. Perhaps this was the case with your husband's treat. Even so, it seems a shame as anyone going to observe could be new potential customers.
The centre where my son did his experience and where he now volunteers, is open to the public so people who have the experiences can bring the whole family along. The owner relies on donations as she doesn't charge admission, so the more the merrier. I'm glad your hubby had a good time though.
