Hi All
Just seen this thread. Re the kidney shaped eggs - apparently it's a thing with very young or elderly females. I have a Hermanni boettgeri female which is estimated to be around 60 - 80 years old. She was in poor copnditions when she came to me around 7 years ago. Last year she laid for the first time and the eggs were elongated like the ones from the young female here. I was told that it was unlikely that these eggs would be fertile. I incubated them anyway and they came to nothing. This year Tilly laid again, twice and one of the eggs was fertile. It hatched and the baby was a very strange shape having been sitting in the egg at an angle. I have pics of 'her' hatching. She was a weird shape for around a month but has slowly straightened out and is now running around with thte rest of the hatchlings - a little miracle. Needless to say she si not for sale<vbg> Sue new email address wizzasmum@aol.com |

I'd always heard and have experienced the same thing Sue . I'm glad you got one fertile egg this year. A picture or 2 of the hatchling would be great

Hmm do I have to download pics to the net first, to photobucket or something or can I add them directly from my computer?

LOL - yes I saw that but wondered whether I had to download my pics to the internet too first. I usually download them direct from my pics file on my PC
Will look at it tomorrow |
