There is a good mix there. There will be no 'winners', just a lot of people's honest admissions of what they do and it could help new owners make up their own minds about what they want to do. Not so long ago people wouldn't admit that they used pellets so you'd have had a poll which was untrue. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

.. well maybe there isn't I don't know, never tried to skin one actually. Who made that phrase up anyway

Yes, this isn't, and shouldn't, be about "winning". As Alan has said, it's an honest admission. I should add that I am not closed minded and if any credible evidence came to light that proves beyond doubt that we shouldn't feed pellets, or I find that my tortoises have an adverse reaction to the pellets, then I would adapt.

It shows what I was expecting. I wasn't expecting anyone to exclusively feed pellets, as it shows people seem to be either using it to provide a more balanced diet in general or use it as winter food when weeds aren't available.

But it was load heavily in favour of the pellets....if you had said who feeds weeds and who doesnt, then all the people who fed weeds and pellets would have been collected into the weed camp?

Its maybe relevant that that there are different kinds of pellets as well. I've tried the Pre Alpin Testudo pellets recently and these are simply dried grass and wild plant matter, low in nutrient and high in fibre and with no added ingredients such as fat, molasses or grains.

No Stells you are not stupid, some people are picky and can't just answer a simple question without questioning it.

Yes, it was made clear that details had to be given in the post. I'm not sure where the "exclusively fed" has come from. As far as I am aware it was only mentioned last night, or the night before. The whole issue has never been about feeding exclusively. If you feed pellets in the winter, you DO feed pellets. That is why stells asked for comments too. I really don't do why it had to become so complicated.

Its not complicated, the results are up there in black and white and you don't have to go sifting through posts. For a newbie skim reading its there.

Exclusively fed is just another option Peter
