Anyone getting any weeds?
There is no way i can get any so its supermarket food with dried weeds, dried flowers and readigrass on top.
Yesterday i filled a trolly full of reduced bags of salad 9p each reduced from £1 BARGAIN!!! And tonight i got loads of bags for 30p each. I empty them all in a carrier bag and then add limestone flour, nutrobal, dried weed, dried flowers and readigrass. My tortoises are loving it. I have 43 tortoises awake I dug most of my tortoises up that are hibernating in the greenhouse and they are all ok, i even have little seedlings growing in there - vetch, clover, dandelion so its not that cold.

I mix my dried food in well, leopards have huge mouths, they try and miss the readigrass but some always goes in.

I picked two large tubs of Ribwort Plantain last week before the snow came, i know this keep's well in air tight container, dry when put in, in the fridge. Using this in a mix of low reading veg for nutrients plus a little salad plus pellet's.

Im on my last bits now of Ribwort. How did you find so much Paul...Im finding the ribwort seems to be rather manky looking now, with the wet/frost eating at them. The only good bits available are the real young ones which are teeny weeny ones....
Im gonna prob need to get out Sat and Sunday this week. But I have ordered the cobs that Dave was talking about on my 'weeds/mish mash' post. My eyes are still popping out at seeing that Reptilica charged me £8 for postage!! |
