Yes, they'll spin about and sit in the egg for a bit. Leave him be till he walks out of the egg and starts exploring. You'll probably find him dug down in the vermiculite. If you are worried you can put a damp kitchen towel tent over him.
How big are your other two? If they are small you should be able to put the new one in once the yolk sac is completely gone. Might find he'll dig down in the first hide he finds so better if thats at the warm end in a table. (he has just been at around 30 constantly for a good while). You'll also want to find him when the food has gone in as the older ones will rush over first. I also sometimes wait for the older ones to start eating then put the new ones with food behind the older ones. They sometimes walk away the first few times but not for long. Alternatively, keep them in a separate RUB till you are happy with their progress. Hatchling is looking very good by the way. Bet you can't stop peeking! |

its torture as hte incubator keeps steaming up with the humidity so i cant see him and i dont want to scare him byopening the door. I looked before and he had spun round like you said and i could see his bum hanging out the egg! He's a corker already and doesnt hide away when i do check on him!
My other two are very young as they still have their egg tooth and you can see the marks on their tum were their sack was. They look big tho compared to him! Im not sure what i will do. Im worried about the other two as they never ever go under the ceramic and stay at the cool end of the table (prob cost i have a warm house with a average of 25 room temp) so maybe he will claim the ceramic end? |

if your near liverpool your more than welcome to come for a visit, he's not coming out fast. It is amazing...so glad i am experiencing this. My other two baby reds are amazing but this one is even more special as i been their from day one. Really hoping the other egg starts hatching soon but think it might make me wait as this one was very early at 109 days as read 145 is average!
