One of my horsefields took ages to come round from hibernation. I just kept a close eye on him and made sure he was warm especially at night, he did come round eventually but it was a bit scarey to say the least.
Gud luk and let us know how things go fingers crossed for them and you
Sue
How long did it take for your Horsefields? It's been 4 days now.

Karin is there any improvement today, any sign of life, can you feel or see any breath, does their legs move if you touch them, because even in hibernation you can touch a leg and it should move. I hope they're ok , but it doesn't sound good. After 4 days even at room temp I would expect them to have eyes open and some movement

No better today, have bathed them, no movement. I think their nostrils clear when I lift them out the water but cant be 100% i suppose.

I cant believe they would both be dead, they were eating well and active to the last, hibernation was great last year. It doesnt add up. I only dd 12 weeks, not too long for 6yrs olds.

No they legs dont move when touched. I just cant believe this. They arent old.

I have built a new house for them with their comb light in the garden ready for their awakening which adds onto their enclosure, againd only built that last year. I have still got my youngest who is super, he had the same conditions in the fridge and is younger so doesnt seem possible for them to be gone.

Do they smell when dead? Mine have no smell at all. Gutted. I am sure I have done everything right. Owned torts for 4 years now.

Karin I think I would get them to a vet ASAP, to either confirm they're gone or to help if it's not too late , I'm so sorry, you must be gutted xxx

Oh Karin, my heart goes out to you, but I agree with Suze that it would be best to get them to a vet now to confirm if they've passed away. Thinking of you. x

Oh Karin, so desperately sorry for you - what an awful place to be Whether it would be worth popping them under a heat lamp and watching to see if you get any reaction, I don't know. Am keeping everything crossed for you.
